About the Agriculture, Truck & Bus protocols — OBD, Bench & Boot (master)
Adds the Agriculture, Truck & Bus OBD, bench & boot protocols to a KESS3 you already own, as a master. Alientech activates them on your tool’s serial number: no second tool, nothing to send back.
What it tunes
Engine ECUs in tractors and farm machinery, trucks, vans on truck chassis, buses, coaches and construction plant.
How it connects
Every way in: by OBD through the diagnostic socket without taking the ECU out, and on the bench or in boot mode with the ECU out of the vehicle, for ECUs that cannot be read by OBD and for full backups.
Your own files
As a master, KESS3 opens and saves every file it reads and you write the maps yourself, in ECM Titanium or the tuning software you already use. A master can also run slave tools of its own.
Before you order
Send MMT your KESS3 serial number with the order, so the protocols go on the right tool. Not sure what your tool already has? Send us a screenshot of it in the Alientech software.

Do I need a new KESS3?
No. Protocols are activated by Alientech on the KESS3 you already own, on its serial number. Nothing is posted and nothing has to be sent back.
My KESS3 was bought somewhere else. Can I add these?
If it is a master, or was bought from MMT, yes. A slave belongs to its master, so protocols for a slave of another master go through that master. Send MMT the serial number and we check.
What do I need to tune with a master?
Calibration software to edit the maps — ECM Titanium or the software you already use — and the experience to write them. Not writing maps yet? The same kit as a slave has MMT tune every file.
What happens after the 12 months of updates?
The subscription is renewed each year to keep receiving Alientech’s updates and new vehicles, through MMT as your dealer. Renew before it has been expired for 60 days: after that Alientech adds a realignment fee.
